A new experience at the West Cork Model Railway Village, Clonakilty invites visitors to enjoy a slower pace and a touch of nostalgia. Vintage Tea at the Model Village launches on Wednesday 29th April and will take place on the last Wednesday of every month.

Set aboard a beautifully restored vintage train carriage overlooking Clonakilty Bay, the experience pairs classic hospitality with a distinctive West Cork backdrop. Guests will be welcomed at the Ticket Office and taken on a short tour of the Model Village. Visitors will then enjoy tea and cake in the dining carriage.

Vintage Tea at the Model Village is designed for a wide range of gatherings, from quiet catch-ups with friends to milestone celebrations.

Curated by Michelle and Alice Mitton in collaboration with the Model Village team, the concept is designed to feel both memorable and meaningful. The aim is to create an experience that brings people together in a special way, with the setting in a restored authentic dining railway carriage adding to the sense of occasion.

The menu will showcase locally sourced treats, including fresh scones with jam and cream, delicate sandwiches, savoury rolls with relish, and cakes such as lemon drizzle and chocolate raspberry.

Guests can choose tea or coffee, and the menu will change each month to reflect seasonal ingredients.

Local chef Oliver Greenwood is behind the culinary offering, with a focus on West Cork produce.
