Do I need to book in advance?

Yes, booking in advance is essential. As we are running on a limited number of days, we strongly recommend booking early. Tickets go on sale on Thursday 4th September at 11:00 a.m.


What is included in the Believe Model Village Ticket?

The Believe ticket includes entry to the Model Village at your chosen date and time. Join Santa, Mrs. Claus and the elves – for fun, games, and gingerbread decorating that will light up little faces with Christmas cheer. For 2025, we’re delighted to announce your ticket includes a festive journey through Clonakilty town on the Clonakilty Express Road Train. You’ll also be able to enjoy various games and activities around the Model Village. We also have an indoor soft play area, Cafe & Gift Shop.

When will Believe tickets be on sale?

Tickets go on sale on Thursday 4th September 2025 at 11:00 a.m.


Will we have time with Santa during our visit?

This year’s event will include an interactive group experience with Santa. There will be an opportunity for each family to have a special moment with Santa.


Will we get a professional photo with Santa?

Yes, there will be an opportunity to get a professional family photo taken with Santa. Kathryn O’Shea Photography will be on hand to capture your family’s visit to Santa.

This is optional and payable on the day. Payment is by cash or card paid directly to the photographer. 7″x5″ Print = €15 each or 3 copies 7″x5″ = €40.

There is a no mobile phone photography policy during the visit to Santa section of the event.


Is there parking on site?

Yes, there is free parking for customers of the Model Village..


How long will my visit be?

We would allow a minimum of 1.5 hours for your visit. Please allow time to enjoy the various extra activities around the village.


What is the ASD-friendly booking time?

On Saturday 13th December from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., we will be running ASD-friendly booking times. The Santa experience will be dialled down for sound, lighting, visuals and have smaller capacity numbers. Staff will be on hand to support family members with moving through the experience. This time is for anyone who would enjoy a less busy and less-stimulating visit. Bookings should be made with the specific ASD Believe Booking Calendar below.


Will children receive a present?

Yes, children will have the opportunity to select a toy of their choice after their visit with Santa.


When is closing time every day?

The Model Village closes to the public 2 and a half hours after the last booking slot.


Does the Road Train go through Clonakilty?

Yes, this year the Road Train will take a festive journey through Clonakilty town, where traditional shopfronts and twinkling lights bring the season to life. This is included in your ticket.


Is the event different by day and by night?

The Believe event will be enjoyable by day and night. There will be no difference between the experience of daytime and evening bookings.


What time should we arrive?

Please arrive 10 minutes before your booking to allow for parking etc. Your experience will begin at the time of your booking.


Is there a Cafe on site?

Yes, The Village Cafe is located on site serving tea, coffee, hot chocolate, refreshments and snacks. For more substantial items for lunch and dinner, we suggest looking at the many great eateries in Clonakilty town, which is under 10 minutes’ walk from the Model Village.


Is the event indoors or outdoors?

The experience takes place both indoors and outdoors. We advise rain-appropriate clothing and shoes. Dress warmly in layers, hats, and rain gear when necessary.


Is there toilets on site?

Yes, there are toilets, wheelchair-accessible toilets and baby changing facilities at the Model Village.


Is the event wheelchair accessible?

Yes, the event is wheelchair accessible – all areas of the Model Village are wheelchair friendly. There are wheelchair accessible toilets, and the Road Train can accommodate one wheelchair per journey. If you need any support during your visit please let staff know or email bookings@modelvillage.ie before your visit.


Can I reschedule my booking?

Yes, you can reschedule your booking but only to an available time slot. Check your booking email and click on “Manage Your Booking”. If you have problems please contact us at bookings@modelvillage.ie with the details. We will do our best to accommodate you but cannot guarantee it.


If the event cannot proceed, will I be refunded?

Yes, you will be fully refunded if the event cannot go ahead. If the event cannot proceed for a particular day or days, for example, due to an extreme weather event with code red, you will receive a full refund.


Can I cancel my booking?

We have a no-refund policy for cancellations. You can, however, transfer/give the booking to someone else as long as the attendee number stays the same. If you decide not to show, email bookings@modelvillage as there may be a family waiting for your booked time.


I need to add an extra child/adult to my booking. How can I do this?

If you need to add more individuals to your booking, please email bookings@modelvillage.ie, and we will endeavour to accommodate you.


I am having trouble booking online.

First, please check that you are using Google Chrome, Safari or Opera as your browser. Internet Explorer is no longer supported by many operating systems.
